About Me
The Basics
When an opportunity presents itself, I go after it. I always try to do something new and exciting to keep things fresh. Opportunities are something I enjoy jumping on. If an opportunity lies in my sight, I will go after it and 9 times out of 10 I will seize it. Generally speaking, I would consider myself very well rounded. If I do not know how to do something, I will learn.
My Job
Currently, I am Wentworth’s Infrastructure Architect as well as the senior administrator and Wentworth project manager for the unified communications system, Microsoft Lync. For several months I prepared the Nortel Networks private branch exchange for transition into the new Microsoft Lync unified communications system. My career at Wentworth began as a student employee at the institute’s Help Desk in the Division of Technology Services. During my tenure at the Help Desk I managed the student employees and laptop inventory. Shortly after the third laptop deployment and implementation, I was asked to join the DTS staff as a full time computer imaging specialist. I quickly worked my way up the ladder to become a systems administrator on the Network Operations Team.
As an Infrastructure Architect and Project Manager, I have worked on many exciting projects, including developing the unified communications project master plan for the implementation of the new system on campus. I am also responsible for guiding the implementation and finding the technology platforms needed to implement: telecommunications, physical network, and systems to support the institutes business.
Everyday Living and Beyond
As for Life, it is too short to sit back and do nothing. I try to explore everything life has to offer. Generally, my life needs to have excitement to keep me motivated. I try to live life like I own the place, and I enjoy every minute of it! I’m a goal-oriented person that sets goals as to where I would like to be down the road, although sometimes I’m not always sure how I’m going to get there. People seem to love my personality. I’m driven, I’m caring, and I’m always there to help. I’m a shoulder to cry on when you are down or in need of someone. I will always be there when I’m needed. I’m a family man that is blessed to have a family like I do. I am an avid runner. Currently I am training to run the New York and Boston Marathons. When I have spare time, you can find me kayaking on the Charles River or finding a new and exciting place to explore.
